What style of worship do we follow?
Sunday morning service follows a traditional format. From September through May our Chancel Choir sings each Sunday, and our Adult Hand Bell Choir performs once per month. Our sermons are centered on the Bible and the teachings of Jesus Christ, and incorporate a variety of elements in addressing contemporary issues. Services are held in our sanctuary.
Thursday evening services follow a contemporary format with popular Christian Contemporary songs. This service offers a time to "Recharge" our lives during the busyness of our week, with sermon series' different from Sunday worship. Services are held in our Fellowship Hall.
What should I wear?
We welcome you to come as you are! Whether you prefer to dress formally or informally, everyone is welcome to worship with us. Most in our congregation dress in casual attire,
but we welcome you to dress as you feel comfortable.
What can I expect at Worship?
As you enter in, you can expect first and foremost to feel welcomed! Enjoy a snack or a beverage in our gathering area before or during worship, visit our Welcome Center, and make yourself at home. No one is expected to do any more than they feel comfortable with.
Do I have to be United Methodist to attend services?
No. You don't have to be United Methodist or any particular denominational follower to attend any of our worship services. All who desire to further know God and experience a relationship with Jesus the Christ are welcome.
Do we offer Communion?
Yes. Communion is offered at our traditional services on the first Sunday of each month. We offer Communion by inviting each person to come forward as they feel led, receive the bread, and drink from individual cups (juice).
Can anyone receive Communion?
Yes. Communion is The Lord's Supper, not ours, and it is Christ who invites us. We do not refuse Communion to anyone who presents themselves as desiring to receive it. Whether you should receive Communion is between you and God.
Do I have to receive Communion?
No. We do not wish for anyone to feel unwelcome for choosing not to receive Communion. Simply remain seated when others go forward. No one will question what you choose to do.
